The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, 1 Love St., is hosting Family Day Art and Science from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 9.
The museum is partnering with Angelo State University, Howard College and the San Angelo Chapter of Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering to present the free event.
Activities will be led by the ASU student chapter of the American Chemical Society, ASU Tri-Beta, National Biological Honor Society, ASU Geological Exposition Organization, ASU Society of Physics Students, TAME: Art Engineers and Howard College STEM Club.
The Howard College STEM Club will have an art bot workshop at noon.
Chemistry magic shows will be held at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
BioRad has donated Genes in a Bottle amulets for the first 250 guests at Family Day. A BioRad representative will show families how to created genes in a bottle with an DNA extraction experiment.
