UPDATE: Firefighters extinguished a structure fire at 2105 Shelton Street Monday afternoon.

San Angelo Fire Department Asst. Chief Scott Farris said two rooms had fire damage and there was smoke damage to the home, but it was not a complete loss.

An SAFD firefighter was taken to the hospital and has been treated and released, Farris said.

A call of a structure fire was made to dispatch at 11:55 a.m. Firefighters and paramedics are still on the scene.

Paramedics were seen removing a person from the residence on a gurney.
