At approximately 12 p.m. Saturday, scanner traffic indicated a major vehicle crash had occurred southbound on US 87, North of FM 2105. A car with a mother and her infant had rolled over.
Trooper Justin Baker said that for unknown reasons the 2004 silver GMC Envoy swirled into the center medium, over-corrected back to southbound lane and side skid into the bar ditch. It then began to roll multiple times before it eventually came to a rest upside down against a tree.
Driver of the vehicle, 29 year old Rebecca Frasier from San Angelo, was ejected while the car was rolling, and sustained serious head injuries, Baker continued.
A three month old baby boy in the back of the vehicle only sustained minor injuries and a couple scratches on his hands because he was safely secured in his car seat.
Both were transported by ambulance to Shannon Hospital for treatment at approximately 12:15 pm.
Rebecca Frasier is still in serious condition.
