A rescue team has found eight people, including two children, alive Friday at the Hotel Rigopiano in Farindola, Italy, after a massive avalanche hit the area.
ANSA reports the avalanche hit the area Wednesday after a power series of earthquakes hit the region. Close to 30 people were believed to have been at the hotel when the avalanche struck. At least two are reported dead and many others are missing.Two were rescued from the hotel Thursday.
The Marche region, north of Farindola, was the area hit by four earthquakes that were measured at 5-plus on the Richter scale.
