Report: Californians move to Texas, make up largest group of new population

A new report released Thursday proved that Californians are constantly moving to Texas in masses.

According to a report by the Texas Association of Realtors, in 2015, Texas had 107,689 more people moving to the state than out of it.

The largest amount of new Texans came from California with 65,546 people who made the move in 2015. Florida followed the lead with 33,670 people coming to Texas. Louisiana, New York and Oklahoma made the list respectively.

Most of those people settled in the Dallas area, followed by Houston and Austin. The numbers were expected to rise in 2016, but an official count has not been performed at this time.
