Razorbacks’ player suspended from Belk Bowl for shoplifting from Belk store

Arkansas Razorbacks senior tight end Jeremy Sprinkle was suspended from Thursday’s Belk Bowl after being arrested for shoplifting from the department store.

KATV in Charlotte, North Carolina, obtained police reports from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department that showed Sprinkle is accused of stealing eight items including shirts, socks and two wallets on a team shopping spree Dec. 27.

According to the report, each Razorback player was given a $450 Belk gift card and a Fossil watch for playing in the bowl game.

The Razorbacks lost the game 35-24 to Virginia Tech.
