The Angelo State University Rams baseball team will host the Lone Star Conference Baseball Tournament Championship from Thursday through Saturday on Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium, 1600 University Ave.
The Rams received hosting privileges by winning the program’s second LSC championship and will be the No. 1 seed.
Texas A&M-Kingsville will be the No. 2 seed, followed by West Texas A&M as the No. 3 seed and Cameron, the No. 4 seed.
The double-elimination event begins at 3 p.m. Thursday with No. 2 TAMUK facing No. 3 WTAMU; followed by No.1 ASU taking on No. 4 Cameron at 7 p.m.
Day two will be comprised of three games with the winner of Game One facing the winner of Game Two at 12 p.m., the loser of game one facing loser of Game Two at 3:30 p.m., and will finish with the loser of Game Three facing winner of Game Four at 7 p.m.
The championship round will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with the winner of Game Three facing the winner of Game Five. If necessary, a seventh game will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets for the tournament are $10 for adults and $7 for youth and students per day. A tournament pass for all games can be purchased for $25. ASU students and students from the participating universities will receive free admission with a university ID.
