Angelo State University’s Ram Radio student radio station will host the inaugural Ram Radio Artist Showcase talent show on Friday, May 4, in the ASU Auditorium located inside the Mayer Administration Building at 2601 W. Ave. N.
The showcase will run from 7-9 p.m. and is open free to the public. Acts will include ASU students and alumni performing live music and poetry. The showcase will also give students the opportunity to mingle and network with other local performers and artists.
“We have some incredible talent at Ram Radio, and we wanted to give the students a chance to perform in front of their peers,” said Tony Blair, senior instructor in communication and Ram Radio director. “I think this is a great send-off for our outgoing seniors. What a great way to close the semester.”
The showcase will also be broadcast live on Ram Radio, featuring interviews with the performers and Ram Radio staff members.
Ram Radio is an internet radio station, and its broadcast studio on the third floor of the Porter Henderson Library is staffed totally by students. It is accessible on the ASU Department of Communication and Mass Media website and through iTunes, RealPlayer and Windows Media Player.
