Showers and thunderstorms are expected over the weekend, beginning with a 40 percent chance Saturday.
The National Weather Service is predicting the possibility of flash flooding over the weekend for the Concho Valley. A large upper storm system will create conditions for widespread showers and thunderstorms.
High rainfall and possible flash flooding expected Saturday night through Sunday night.
Rainfall amounts of one to three inches are likely with this system. Flash flooding is to be mainly expected, however, some of these thunderstorms may produce a tornado, according to a special weather statement from the National Weather Service.
Chances for rain on Saturday night will increase to 70 percent with a low of 61.
The 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue into Sunday with an expected high of 73 and low of 55.
Moving into Monday, and for most of the next week, rain chances are likely.
