Rain in the forecast for Monday, Tuesday; cooler temps

 The National Weather Service in San Angelo is predicting a slight chance of showers early Monday with a possibility of thunderstorms after noon.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 62 and north to northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon. Daytime chance of rain is 20 percent.
On Monday night, expect showers and thunderstorms with a low of 46. Rain chances are 80 percent.
Moving into Tuesday, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny conditions with a predicted high near 54, slightly cooler than Monday’s expected high. Tuesday is expected to be  breezy with a north northwest wind 10 to 15 mph climbing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph, according to the NWS.
Rain chances leave the area Tuesday night while temperatures will drop. Tuesday night’s expected forecast is partly cloudy conditions with a low of approximately 36. Conditions will be breezy with a north northwest wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph.
