Rain chances return for Mother’s Day weekend

Plans for a Mother’s Day barbecue may change to an indoor meal with rain chances returning to the Concho Valley Saturday and continuing into Sunday. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast for Saturday with a high of 86, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo. The low for the evening is expected to be 65 and breezy with south to southeast winds at 15 to 20 mph.

On Sunday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with partly sunny skies and a high near 87. South winds could blow around 15 mph.

Sunday night brings a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms under mostly cloudy skies and a low near 62. Conditions will be breezy with south winds at 15 to 20 mph, decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight.
