Quarter-inch in rain overnight, more moving in tonight

Much of the Concho Valley woke up Wednesday morning to discover it had rained overnight. The National Weather Service in San Angelo recorded one-quarter inch of rain Tuesday night into early Wednesday.

Wednesday morning, showers are expected to dissipate as Tuesday night’s system moves out to the south. Rain chances for Wednesday are 20-40 percent with a high of 79. Wednesday night, chances increase to 40 percent with another possible quarter-inch of accumulation and a low of 61.

A 40 percent chance of showers remains for early Thursday with a high of 77. No more precipitation is expected from Thursday evening through Saturday evening, when a 20 percent chance moves back into the Concho Valley.
