Elizabeth Grindstaff leads Lane Carter, according to exit poll data and early voting totals, and  sanangelonow.com projects they will finish in the top two in the Single Member District 5 election.

Whether Grindstaff will reach 50 percent is too close to call. R.A. Cantrell and Martin Guinn, third and fourth place, respectively, are projected to be eliminated from any potential runoff.
