Power restored in North San Angelo

UPDATE: Power has been restored in North San Angelo after a breaker at a substation was tripped.
Reports of power out in the area began at approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday.
AEP’s Fred Hernandez said all power has been restored and AEP is investigating the cause of the outage.
ORIGINAL STORY: There is a report of a power outage in north San Angelo.
AEP Community Affairs manager Fred Hernandez said the company is aware of the situation and they are working to fix it. A substation has lost power, according to Hernandez.
Reports are that traffic lights in the North Chadbourne Street area are not functioning. Please use caution in the area.
There is not yet an estimate on a time of repair.
aep.com shows that 1,113 are currently affected by the outage.
Residents are asked not to call 9-1-1 to report the outage.
