Officers with the Street Crimes Division of SAPD located wanted parolee Jason Smart riding in a black vehicle on January 16.
A traffic stop was conducted, which allowed officers to take Smart into custody for the outstanding warrant for his previous violations.
When they pulled the vehicle over, officers searched the vehicle and discovered methamphetamine, five stolen checkbooks and drug paraphernalia.
The checkbooks discovered in the vehicle were related to a previous home robbery.
Smart, 28, was travelling with 21-year old Monica Mares and 23-year old Ashley Segler.
Smart faces additional charges of Felony Possession of Controlled Substance.
Mares was arrested by City Marshals for outstanding City Warrants.
Segler was charged for driving with an invalid driver’s license.
