A home dedication for U.S. Air Force (retired) Staff Sgt. Chris Campbell and family will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the family’s new home, 5809 Barrington Court. The event is open to the public. Operation Finally Home with support from the Homebuilders Association of San Angelo and AB Construction and the community has built a mortgage free home for the Campbell family.

Campbell is a Purple Heart recipient from injuries suffered while stationed at Balad Air Base in Iraq.

Campbell, a native of West Virginia, began his service in 1994. After several tours and assignments, including a tour at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Campbell was deployed to Iraq, where he was injured by a rocket blast. Campbell received multiple injuries, including a traumatic brain injury and PTSD. He medically retired in 2012.

When the opportunity with Operation Finally Home came about, there was no question, the Campbell family wanted to make their home in San Angelo. And the organization, the HBSA, AB Construction and others made it happen.

Campbell, his wife, Stephanie, and their two sons will make their home in San Angelo once work on their new home is complete.

We would like to invite the public to share as we start the next chapter in our lives by finally being home in a city and state we love,” Campbell said.
