Online survey could bring change to trash collection services

City of San Angelo

The City of San Angelo is seeking the public’s opinion on a proposed change in trash service.

According to a release from the City, garbage collection customers in San Angelo have asked the City to consider decreasing recycling pickup to every other week and to increase bulk collection to once per month.

COSA trash collection customers have until March 15 to voice their opinion on this issue through an online survey at

City Council will then look at the results and decide whether or not to change the service.

If a change were made, a specific day would be assigned to each home, where bulk garbage, such as appliances, yard waste and furniture, would be collected.

Regardless of change in these services, rates will stay the same, trash collection would continue to be weekly and avid recyclers will get a second green recycling bin at no charge.
