One of the state’s 10 most wanted sex offenders busted in Tarrant County

One of the state’s 10 most wanted sex offenders, 41-year old Lavinci Damon Henderson, was apprehended in Fort Worth late last week, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.   Henderson’s apprehension was the result of a tip, so the $5,000 reward offered for his capture will be paid.

Henderson is a high-risk sex offender who was wanted for sexual assault of a child and failure to register as a sex offender. His offenses include two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of aggravated kidnapping  and attempt to commit secure execution document by deception.

Working off tip information, the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force including members of the DPS Criminal Investigations Division, found and arrested him without incident at a Fort Worth residence. The Fort Worth Police Department assisted in the apprehension.

He was convicted in 1994 in Tarrant County on the two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.

To date in 2016, DPS and other agencies have arrested four Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including three sex offenders and two gang members, and $5,000 in rewards have been paid for tips that resulted in arrests.
