A tweet from the Ohio State University Department of Public Safety Monday morning reports an active shooter on the campus.
The tweet sent at about 8:56 a.m. CST advises to run, hide fight. A subsequent tweet advises students to shelter in place.
NBC News is reporting that at least seven people have been transported to the hospital with some type of injuries. A department chair told the news affiliate that one of his colleagues was slashed with a machete, but the station said they cannot confirm that account.
