After a brief period of quiet weather Friday night, the chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop Saturday afternoon in the Concho Valley.
The higher rain chances will be south of a Mertzon to San Angelo to Brownwood line.
A few storms could be strong to severe, with large hail and damaging winds the main threat. Temperatures will warm into the upper 80s and lower 90s, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.
The most favored area for storm development will be south of Sterling City to Brownwood line.
Unsettled pattern will continue Sunday through Memorial Day. Because a few severe storms cannot be ruled out, the NWS in San Angelo encourages everyone with outdoor plans to check the latest forecast and weather updates this weekend.
