New SATA group project to create 300 new jobs in Brownsville

On Wednesday morning, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced the SATA group will be constructing a new machine plant in Brownsville. SATA Group is a high-tech components manufacturer that produces car products. The project is expected to create 300 jobs and generate approximately $114 million dollars in capital investment in Texas economy.

A Texas Enterprise Fund of $1.8 million dollars has been extended to the SATA group.

“I am proud that SATA group has chosen to expand in the Rio Grande Valley, bringing high-quality jobs to a region that is vital to the growth of our state,” Abbott said.

He added that he feels Texas continues to be an economic powerhouse because of an environment and a government that encourages business growth by limiting taxes, regulations and bureaucracy.
