Police have located the vehicle they believe was involved in a hit-and-run incident earlier this week. At approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, San Angelo Police Department Traffic Investigators took possession of the vehicle.
According to a press release from SAPD, the vehicle was located at a residence in San Angelo and transported to one of the department’s evidence holding areas. Specific details are not being released at this time because the driver of the vehicle has not been contacted. The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators started searching for the suspect vehicle Tuesday morning after the driver of the red SUV struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at Gunter Street and West Avenue Q.
The pedestrian victim, 75-year-old Frederick Alley, is reported to be in stable condition, according to the release.
