The tradition of basketball excellence in the Concho Valley continues. Angelo State University defeated Arkansas-Fort Smith in the South Central Regional tournament over the weekend with a final score of 92-85. The Rams now advance to the semi-final round where they will face Fort Lewis College on Sunday. It’s tournament time, which means it’s also time to fill out brackets. This year being the year of parity, it’s the first time in history that every team in the field has at least four losses. Kansas is the top-seeded team this year and they’re joined by many Big 12 teams. Oklahoma University is a two seed, Texas A&M University a three seed, Baylor University is a five seed, the University of Texas lands a six seed and Texas Tech University is squeaking in as an eight seed.
