Maryland shooter kills at least 2, could be linked to other shootings

A 62-year old man is in custody in Montgomery County, Maryland, after police say he shot and killed his estranged wife in a high school parking lot Thursday night.

Police believe Eulalio Tordil may also be responsible for shootings outside the Westfield Montgomery Mall and the Aspen Hill Giant on Friday.

He was taken into custody in the Aspen Hill area Friday.

Before he was captured, Montgomery County Police issued the following statement: “MCP is investigating a possible link between the Prince George’s County Police Department ‘s homicide suspect from yesterday evening’s shooting at High Point High School and the two shooting events (two homicides) in Montgomery County today.”

Tordil, who is said to be an employee of the Federal Protective Service, fled the scene of Thursday’s shooting in his car.
