A San Angelo man with a warrant for a parole violation (blue warrant) was arrested on a burglary charge Saturday after San Angelo Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress. San Angelo Police were dispatched to a residence on the 1800 block of Dena Drive Saturday on a call of a burglary in progress. On the way to the call, officers were informed that a male and female suspect had fled the residence in a red pickup truck. License plate information was provided to the police by a witness.
En route to the call, Officer B. Stewart saw the suspect vehicle in the area. He stopped the vehicle and identified Michael Trammell, 43, and his passenger, Heather Cochran, 32.
Stewart discovered Trammell had two outstanding warrants. He was arrested at the scene. Suspected stolen items from the burglary were found in the truck bed. Criminal Investigations Division detectives arrived at the scene and determined the duo had entered the property on Dena Drive and stole items from a shed.
Both Trammell and Cochran were charged with burglary of a building. Trammell was charged with a parole violation warrant (blue warrant) and an additional outstanding county warrant.
Trammell and Cochran were transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
