Local Nursing Home Destroyed by Fire

Local firefighters reported to a blazing fire at the former location of a local nursing home in the 4200 block of Armstrong Street at around 2 a.m. Friday morning.

The cause of the fire is undetermined but the building is the location of a former Adult Social Service case from 2015.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The location is where Ramon Ricardo Garcia and his wife Debra are accused of neglecting a patient, Edna Adian, 74, who died of bedsores due to neglect.

The couple was using the facility as their personal home, while housing up to three elderly patients, rather than using the facility as a nursing home.

Ricardo and Debra Garcia were indicted on first-degree felony charges for failing to provide medical care to Adian.

However, both failed to appear in court after being bonded out by Concho Bail Bonds.

Mr. Garcia has a previous history where he also jumped bail in 2000.

If you know of the whereabouts of the Garcias, Louie Perez, proprietor of Concho Bail Bonds if offering a reward for information leading to their arrest. Call him at (325) 650-1176.
