Hundreds gather the streets for the San Angelo Rodeo Parade

The cold weather did not stop hundreds of onlookers from lining the streets of downtown for the 2017 San Angelo Rodeo Parade Saturday morning.

Riding groups, JROTC formations, drill teams, Angelo State University organizations, classic cars and tractors, team and company mascots and floats all weaved their way for everyone to see.

The Central Tex-Anns kept the crowd entertained with dance routines, and some rodeo clowns even made an appearance as they performed tricks on go karts.

“I loved seeing all of the horses trot down our city streets,” Sarah Ramirez, parade onlooker, said. “For me, the parade is the real kick off to the rodeo.”
