A 22-year old Houston woman was arrested Saturday and has been charged with capital murder in the April 16 death of her 5-month old daughter.

The Houston Police Department announced Monday that charges have been filed against Tradeszsha Bibbs in the death of a female infant that occurred at 6161 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) #204 at approximately 10:45 p.m. April 16.

Bibbs is charged with capital murder in 177th State District Court. She is accused in the death of her daughter, Brielle Robinson, 5 months old.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Miller and Officer C. Elder reported:

“Bibbs and her daughter (baby Robinson) were in a room at the Red Carpet Inn at the above address when she heard her daughter crying and picked her up by the arms and dropped her on the bed, causing her to fall to the floor. Bibbs then continuously struck her daughter in the face, chest, ribs and legs until the child stopped crying.  Baby Robinson was later transported to Texas Children’s Hospital where doctors determined she had suffered multiple fractures and severe head trauma.”
