A fire broke out in a home about 11:15 a.m. Friday at the 200 block of Allen Street.
Fire Marshall Ross Coleman with the San Angelo Fire Department said no one was in the home at the time, but there was speculation that the residents’ dog was inside. The house is a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. Coleman said it could be a matter of days before they are able to investigate what happened.
“We have to make sure we can handle the rest of this safely,” Coleman said. “We do have some collapse that has happened in the center of the home.”
24 personnel made the scene to put out the blaze, including emergency medical services.
