Gunfire rang out during a rap concert where rapper T.I. was scheduled to perform Wednesday night in Manhattan’s Irving Plaza in Union Square. One person was reported dead, three were injured.
According to reports from the scene, T.I. had not yet taken the stage when the gunfire began. He was scheduled to perform at 9:30 p.m., but had not yet made an appearance when the shots were fired at approximately 10:15 p.m.
Two men and one woman were injured. Rapper Troy Ave’s team reported he was one of the injured; he was reportedly grazed by a bullet in one of his legs and hospitalized late Wednesday.
Sources say no one had been arrested as of early Thursday morning. No description of the suspect(s) had been given as of early Thursday.
Irving Plaza officials referred all questions to the New York Police Department.
