A free, five-part session “Grieving the Child I Never Knew,” will be hosted by Shannon Medical Center’s White Rose Support Group beginning March 22 at First Christian Church, 29 N. Oakes St. All sessions will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sessions are designed to explore identified grief issues experienced by parents who have lost a child, as well as family members who are grieving as well. The series is aimed at providing insight, sharing, encouragement, healing and hope while coping with loss.
Sessions are as follows:
March 22 – “Hiding”
March 29 – “Suffering and Questioning”
April 12 – “Forgiving”
April 26 – “Relating and Seeking”
May 17 – “Sharing Your Story”
Sessions are free and will be led by Shannon chaplain, J.T. Tucker.
