The Great War Centennial Commemoration Lecture Series will continue March 22 at Angelo State University’s Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive. “Drafting for the World War and the World Series,” will be hosted by the university’s history department. Drs. William Taylor and David Dewar will speak about the causes and the consequences of World War I conscription at 7 p.m. March 22 in the U.C.’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
The three-year long lecture series that kicked off in September 2015, is funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
