Granbury officer saves 3-year-old’s life

Granbury Police Department Officer Chase Miller responded to a call Oct. 12 made by a 3-year-old boy’s father from a local restaurant, 40 miles southwest of Fort Worth. The officer’s response and action is reportedly now being praised by many in the area and country after the video went viral showing how he saved the boy’s life.

Upon arrival, the officer grabbed the boy’s limp body from his mother as Miller’s dashboard camera captured most of the scene. He then placed the 3-year-old on the ground, performed CPR without stopping until the boy began to breathe again.

The police department’s Facebook page posted Granbury Mayor Nin Hulett awarded Miller with the Life Saving Award at a Tuesday meeting of the Granbury City Council.
