Glenmore Elementary School has been identified by the Texas Education Agency as one of seven Texas schools to take part on a best practices case studies project. The campuses were designated by the TEA as high performing and high progress Title I reward schools. According to a release on the TEA’s website, all have proven successful in classroom efforts on campuses with a high percentage of students from economically disadvantaged families and high mobility rates.
The case study project will be carried out by representatives from the TEA. the Texas Comprehensive Center at AIR and the Texas Center for District and School Support. The team will meet with members of campus leadership teams from each of the seven schools. Interviews will be conducted with leadership in an effort to learn more about the school’s improvement practices and successes.
After site visits are complete, researchers will use the information to develop campus highlight case studies. Final case studies will be available to all Texas schools on the TEA website and distributed in Texas school improvement training sessions.
