Gallery will exhibit FAME scholarship entries

The Friends of Art and Music Education (FAME) Student Scholarship Exhibition will open Monday in the Angelo State University Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive. The display will be held in the building’s Gallery 193 and is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays through April 1. Artwork in various media including graphic design, photography, painting and drawing will be on display.
More than 25 ASU students who are art majors are competing for two FAME scholarships.

Bekah Coleman, education curator for the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, will judge the competition.

FAME has awarded more than $188,500 in the form of 320 scholarships to ASU students since 1998.
