Fugitive identifies himself as “Jay Walker”; arrested by SAPD on multiple charges

A 34-year-old San Angelo man was arrested on multiple charges Tuesday after a late-night incident at Denny’s.

According to a press release from the San Angelo Police Department, at around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to Denny’s, 427 W. Avenue I, on a report of an unwanted subject. Officers arrived and found the man, who employees said refused to leave the restaurant after being told to leave multiple times during two separate incidents that evening.

Officers asked the man for his name and he replied, “Jay Walker.” Officers learned that the man’s name was Francisco Edward Arambula, who was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Arambula was arrested for failure to identify fugitive from justice, warrants and criminal trespass.  He was also in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics at the time of his arrest. The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine and Arambula was subsequently charged with felony 3 possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1 and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arambula was transported and booked into the Tom Green County Jail without incident.
