Concho Valley Friends of NRA will host its 24th annual banquet at 5:30 p.m. July 22 at the Fort Concho Stables, 210 Henry O Flipper St.
The local chapter of the FNRA was founded in 1992, and has been hosting the event in San Angelo each year since.
There will be live and silent auctions, raffles and dinner will be catered by McGowen’s.
Cost per individual ticket is $40. Table packages range in price: $425 Reserved Patriot Table; $850 Bronze Patriot Table; $1,500 Silver Patriot Table; $2,500 Gold Patriot Table; and a $5,000 Platinum Patriot Table.
Additional early bird raffles are available online for $50.
The proceeds will go to the non-profit FNRA Foundation, who will use the funds to support primarily youth shooting sports such as the Boy Scouts of America, 4-H, Texas FFA Association, Junior ROTC groups and other rifle, pistol and shotgun sports.
“One of our missions is to get youngsters involved in safe firearm handling and teach them how to shoot,” NRA Senior Field Representative of West Texas Jack Cannon, said.
The local FNRA also offer several college scholarships to children who participates in any of the shooting sports.
“Last year we gave around $35,000 in scholarships,” Cannon said. “The biggest scholarship was $15,000.”
