Friday sports update, 4/29

Round 1 of the NFL Draft is in the books. The Dallas Cowboys stayed at pick number four and took Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Elliott’s arrival in Valley Ranch likely signals the end of Darren McFadden’s brief time in Dallas.

The Houston Texans traded up one spot to 21 and grabbed speedy Notre Dame wide receiver Will Fuller. Round 2 starts at 6 p.m. Friday.

Florida Marlins second baseman and National League batting champ Dee Gordon suspended. A positive
test for two separate performance enhancing drugs will sideline Gordon for 80 games.
