Friday sports update, 4/01

The Houston Rockets fell last night to the Chicago Bulls, 103-100. The loss puts them a half game out for the final playoff spot, currently held by the Dallas Mavericks. With just six games to go, Houston has to start winning games again or they be left on the outside looking in.

Lebron James scored his 26, 668th point last night in a win over Brooklyn Nets.  That moves him past Dominque Wilkins for 12 on the all-time scoring list.

Controversy  is brewing around former Houston Rockets center Yao Ming. The 7 foot 6 Chinese player had a brilliant, albeit injury shortened career in Houston. Reports are indicating he will be elected to the NBA Hall of Fame this year, causing many former players to claim he isn’t a worthy candidate.
