Fort Concho annual spring speaker series begins April 6

Fort Concho National Historic Landmark will begin its annual spring speaker series at noon April 6 with “Silver and Light Photography,” presented by Fort McKavett Site Manager, Cody Mobley.    The series will be held during the lunch hour weekly in the fort’s commissary, 702 Burgess St. Admission is free. Attendees can bring a lunch or order a sack lunch in advance by 5 p.m. Mondays prior to the lecture. Sack lunches from Mr. T’s are $8 per person and can be ordered by calling 325-657-4441.

April 13: “Fort Lancaster,” by Jefferson Spillman, site manager

April 20: “Glenn Springs and Boguillas Raid” by local historian Carl Brockmann

April 27: “Nature Photography,” by local historian C.A. Maedgen
