Former Assistant Police Chief Becomes County’s Chief Inspector

Robert Martinez, former assistant chief to the San Angelo Police Department, will now fill the position of Chief Inspector within the County Attorney’s office.

As Chief Inspector, Martinez will help county attorneys track down information on misdemeanor cases.

Misdemeanor cases can include driving while intoxicated or theft, among other types of charges.

Martinez worked for the SAPD for 36 years.

He retired from the police force in November after the meet and confer contract between the city and the SAPD expired on September 30.
