The Boca Raton, Florida, Police Department recently released video of two burglary suspects who ended up “turning themselves in” by fleeing directly into a parking lot at a police station.
A resident reported witnessing a burglary in progress at his neighbor’s home Wednesday and provided police with a description of the suspects: two men and a woman and the vehicle they were driving.
When police approached the vehicle, the suspects drove away, crashing nearby and fleeing on foot.
The female suspect was arrested near the scene of the crash and the two males ran northwest.
Boca Raton Police Chief Dan Alexander said in a Facebook post, “Fortunately, the male suspects turned themselves in, sort of. Their chosen course took them to police headquarters.”
Alexander included video of the surprised suspects as police took them into custody in the station’s parking lot.
The three suspects face charges of burglary and grand theft, according to UPI.
