It’s the first day to vote early for the Nov. 8 election

Monday marks the first day to vote early for the Nov. 8 election. The final day for early voting will be Nov. 4.

Friday is the last day apply for a ballot by mail (received not postmarked).

Locally, seats up for election include Tom Green County Sheriff; 51st, 119th, 340th and 391st district judge; and 51st and 119th district attorney, according to the Tom Green County Election’s Office. Only the sheriff’s race is contested with incumbent Sheriff David Jones running against challenger Walter Bryant.

Times for early voting at the Edd B. Keyes Building, 113 W. Beauregard Ave., first floor are:

Oct. 24-28: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Oct. 29: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Oct. 30: 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Oct. 31-Nov. 4: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
