FBI seeks costume-wearing “Comic-Con Bandit”

A costumed man believed to be responsible for two bank robberies in Colorado is being sought by the FBI this week.

The robberies involved a man using masks of fictional characters at banks in Littleton and Louisville. Police believe the same man was behind both robberies and have dubbed him the “Comic-Con Bandit.”

The suspect is described as a five-foot-10 to six-foot tall, white male in his 20s with short brown hair and a thin build, according to 9News.com.

The first bank targeted was in Louisville, where the suspect was seen wearing a gray hoodie, black gloves, dark pants, tennis shoes and a Marvel Black Panther mask. The second robbery took place in Littleton with the suspect wearing a similar outfit, other than a change in masks — this time it was Darth Vader.

In both instances, the suspect claimed to have a gun, although no weapon was displayed.

The FBI have encouraged anyone with information on the subject to contact Crime Stoppers.
