The Concho Valley Farmers Market is hosting its annual grand opening at 7 a.m. June 18 at the Farmers Market Pavilion, 609 S. Oakes St.
There will be live music, door prizes of free produce and homemade treats will be offered every few minutes and free coffee and lemonade for guests.
Vendors from a 75-mile radius of San Angelo will offer locally grown fresh produce and plants. The market is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until the first fall freeze.
The selection at the market will be potatoes, green beans, sweet peas, squash, zucchini, peppers, corn, greens including lettuce, spinach and collards, radishes, shelled pecans, indoor and outdoor plants, onions, herbs including basil, thyme, cilantro, parsley and rosemary, cheeses and more.
The farmers typically charge $1 per bundle or bowl of produce.
Melons will be for sale in July.
