The driver of a dump truck carrying caliche to a job at Glenn Middle School took the corner of Knickerbocker Road and Johnson Street too fast, lost control and tipped onto its side Thursday morning.
Officer Ed Hunger with the San Angelo Police Department said the truck was headed east on Knickerbocker and turning north onto Johnson, carried to much speed into the curve , his load shifted and turned the truck over.
No one was injured in the crash that slowed traffic in the intersection. Expect traffic delays until the intersection has been cleared of caliche and debris.
The driver, Thomas Barker of Midland, will be cited for unsafe speed.
