The driver of a 2016 Ford F250 pickup truck was transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center after he lost control of his vehicle on the US Hwy 277 N entrance to Bronte and flipped his truck onto its side. Officer Gesch with the San Angelo Police Department said the driver was coming around the entrance ramp to 277, lost control, slid sideways and hit a tree which caused him to spin around and roll the truck onto its right side.
The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time.
San Angelo Fire Department firefighters and paramedics had to free him from his vehicle. When he was freed from his safety belt, the driver was able to climb out of the front windshield area of the vehicle to the waiting paramedics.
Gesch said they had little details on the crash as it is still being investigated. The driver had at least one visible injury, but the extent of his injuries was unknown.
