The Celebrity Apprentice will return next year with Arnold Schwarzenegger as its new host, but it was announced Thursday that President-Elect Donald Trump will still be involved with the show.
As reported by USA TODAY, Trump will maintain his role as executive producer. The confirmation came from Metro-Goldwyn Mayer, which owns the Apprentice franchise.
“Mr. Trump has a big stake in the show and conceived of it with Mark Burnett,” Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said.
It is not clear if Trump will be paid for his work on the series, but he faces pressure from the public to separate himself from his business as he becomes president to avoid any conflict of interest.
