Dispatchers Recognized for Performance During Ranch Fire

On Monday, October 17, two public safety dispatchers were honored at city council for their actions during the Rocking Chair Ranch fire on September 14, earlier this year.

Tom Green County’s Emergency Manager, Steve Mild, presented Linda Waller, Communications Supervisor, and Sarah Rees, with certificates of appreciation at the meeting.

Both women coordinated communication efforts and supported the Wall volunteer fire department during the 800 acre fire.

Wall VFD requested that these dispatchers be honored for their help in this event.

Police Chief Frank Carter, Assistant Chiefs David Howard and Tracy Fincher, and Public Safety Communications Commanders Lieutenant Tim Pucci and Sergeant Chris Carpenter were present for the award.
