Delta Air Lines apologizes for passenger’s Trump rant

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines released a public apology Sunday after a passenger’s rant regarding President-Elect Donald Trump went viral on social media.

As reported by WXIA-TV, the passenger on the Allentown, Pennsylvania-bound flight from Atlanta stood up in the aisle, praising Trump supporters and shouting expletives to Clinton supporters.

“Donald Trump, baby,” the man said in the video. “We got some Hillary [expletive] on here? He’s your president, every [expletive] one of you. If you don’t like it, too bad.”

The video was recorded Nov. 22, but recently went viral and prompted a response from the airline.

“Our responsibility for ensuring all customers feel safe and comfortable with Delta includes requiring civil behavior from everyone,” a statement from Delta Air Lines said. “The behavior we see in this video does not square with our training or culture and follow up will continue so we can better ensure our employees will know they will be fully supported to make the right decisions when these issues arise.”
